Seven 8th Graders Colleges Should Be Recruiting Before Their First HS Game

Most basketball coaches, recruiters, spectators and players are aware of the high level players on the high school circuit. Not many are familiar with the younger standouts that are up and coming. Here are the 7 promising prospects not yet in HS that you should know about:

Keziah Lofton - Class of 2025
Lady Jets
Keziah is a lefty, 5'11 point guard with an incredible range from behind the arc. She is very versatile and can play spots 1-5. She rebounds well, especially on the offensive end generating extra possessions for her team. Keziah thrives in transition as she is aggressive and seeks contact at the rim. Currently, Keziah is fielding offers from top Division I schools such as Texas Tech, Louisville, Arizona and North Carolina.

Keeley Parks - Class of 2025
Trae Young Elite

Keeley is a 5'8, combo guard that plays very poised, yet very intense. Keeley can score from all three levels. Her shot is smooth and very consistent both from behind the arc and midrange. She attacks the paint hard, setting up her teammates for easy baskets. She handles the ball with ease against top-level pressure defenses. She is currently fielding offers from Division I schools such as TCU, Oklahoma, Ohio State, Vanderbilt and Kansas.

Aniya Foy - Class of 2025
Houston Defenders

Aniya Foy is a 5'11, point guard with elite ball handling and the ability to score at will. She can score from behind the arc, both off the dribble and on the catch. Her ball-handling ability is top tier and trips up even the best double teams. Her length allows her to elevate over shot blockers at the rim, earning many "and-ones". She recently received an offer from the University of Houston.

Aaliyah Chavez - Class of 2025
Lubbock Nitro

Aaliyah is a 5'8, shifty point guard with a knockdown three-point shot. She plays with a ton of confidence and energy. She is a fantastic passer and loves the no-look pass in transition. She handles the ball well and is extremely explosive, embarrassing defenders on multiple occasions. Her competitive nature is hard to match and she is pedal to the medal from start to finish.

Sania Richardson - Class of 2025
Below the Rim

Sania is a 5'5, fast point guard that has a knack for getting inside the paint despite her size. Her change of direction is deadly and once she gets free, she is fast enough to beat help defenders to the rim. She can score from deep and has a pretty three-point jumper. Defensively, she provides great on-ball defense and constant pressure leading to easy layups. She recently received offers from Oklahoma and Eastern Michigan.

Camille Williams - Class of 2025
Nike ProSkills

Camille is a 5'10, guard who has the ability to dominate the game from both inside and outside the paint. She is a solid ball-handler who showcases an array of dribble combination moves. Her three-point shot is very consistent. She posts up smaller defenders and larger defenders struggle to contain her. She is a walking mismatch. Defensively, she uses her length to generate steals and easy baskets.

McKenzie Mathurin - Class of 2025
Texas U

McKenzie Mathurin is a 5'9, combo guard with a great set shot. She does her best work in transition and finishes extremely well at the rim. Her ball-handling is much more simple than others on the list, yet still extremely effective. She does not waste time dancing with defenders, she makes one move and goes by. Defensively, she can elevate and block shots at the rim. She recently received offers from the University of Oklahoma & Arkansas.
